FAQ

Questions, answered

How does it actually work?

Four steps. You pick a product and a style, upload a photo of your pet right on the product page, and check out. We turn that photo into a custom portrait and email you a proof. Once you approve it, we print and ship. You are never surprised by what shows up.

What if it doesn't look like my pet?

Then we fix it. That's the whole reason we send a proof before printing. Tell us what's off — the eyes, the markings, the ear shape — and we'll revise it and send another. We keep going until you're happy. Nothing prints until you say so.

What kind of photo works best?

A clear, well-lit photo where you can see your pet's face. Daylight beats flash. Straight-on or slightly angled beats from above. Their whole head in frame beats a close crop.

That said, don't overthink it — we've worked from some genuinely difficult photos and still nailed the likeness. If your photo won't work, we'll email you and ask for another before charging ahead.

How many styles are there?

Twenty-two, from a Renaissance royal oil painting to 3D cartoon, watercolor, neon, pop art, stained glass, anime, charcoal and more — plus the viral ones like the Pet Mugshot and the Wanted Poster. You choose right on the product page. Not sure? Pick "Let the artist choose" and we'll send you our best read on your pet.

How long does it take?

Your proof usually arrives within 24 hours. After you approve it, production runs 2–5 business days and delivery is typically 3–7 business days in the US. Digital downloads skip the shipping entirely and land in your inbox.

Can you do more than one pet?

Yes. Order one item per pet and upload each photo to its own item — that way each portrait gets its own attention. Buying several at once also triggers our set discounts.

Can you do a portrait of a pet who has passed?

Yes, and we take these especially seriously. Send us the best photo you have, even if it isn't a perfect one — often the only photo someone has left isn't. Tell us anything you'd like us to know, and we'll take extra care with the proof. Charcoal and watercolor tend to suit a memorial piece, but it's your call.

What happens to my photo?

We use it to make your portrait and to produce your order. That's it. We don't sell it or hand it to anyone besides the printer who fulfils your order. If we ever want to share your finished portrait as an example of our work, we'll ask you first — and no is a perfectly fine answer.

Do you ship internationally?

Right now we ship within the United States.

What if it arrives damaged?

Email us within 30 days with a photo and we'll replace or refund it. You won't need to ship the damaged one back.
